City’s Coastal Management Branch takes over Miller’s Point and Soetwater Resorts

22 August 2025

The City of Cape Town’s Coastal Management Department has taken over the management of the Miller’s Point Resort in Murdock Valley and the Soetwater Resort in Kommetjie. The change-over was formalised in July this year. To ensure a fair and equitable booking process, bookings can already be made directly with the resorts as well as via the City’s e-Service portal.

‘The City of Cape Town manages a number of affordable municipal resorts and it gives me great joy to see this list expanding. Soetwater and Miller’s Point resorts are great family getaway spots that offer camping, beach access, braai facilities and many more recreational activities. We look forward to welcoming and seeing locals and visitors at these resorts,’ said the City’s Deputy Mayor and Mayoral Committee Member for Spatial Planning and Environment, Alderman Eddie Andrews.

Bookings can be made directly with each resort via telephone or email, from 08:30 to 15:00, Monday to Sunday.
Bookings can also be completed online, except for the Peak Festive Season, 15 December to 15 January, and the Easter holidays. Online bookings can be made through the City’s e-Services portal.
